Rock Salt Remedy is one of the oldest remedies used to help minimize the energy of the #5 Yellow Star and the #2 Illness Star. It helps absorb the negative energy and cleanse the unwanted Earth element from the #5 or #2.
The feng shui salt water remedy is usually used in tandem with other metal cures because the ill effects of the annual flying star #2 illness, #3 argument, and #5 misfortune; it is used to weakened or destroyed by the metal element of the salt metal remedy. Feng shui remedy such as a 6 hollow metal rod wind chime, a metal Wu Lou (Chinese gourd) or metal bowls or fishbowl is often used in addition to the salt water cure in order to achieve best results. Salt is also known to remedy illness and for cleansing.
The use of number 6 - as in the number of Chinese coins for the salt water remedy is based on the fact that in feng shui, 6 is considered to be a number with a strong metal element. If you look at the feng shui bagua with the I-Ching trigrams on it, you will see number 6 in the Qian trigram, a metal feng shui element trigram.
In this package you will receive:
- 9 brass I-Ching Coins
- 4 silver I-Ching Coins
You will need to add a fishbowl, white rock salt and a mat for it to sit on. You can purchase a fishbowl at Kmart.
1 x fishbowl size approx. 22.9cm diameter x 20cm height. (similar to a size of fishbowl at Kmart).
4kg (approx.) rock salt (white), for the bowl size of 22.9cm diameter x 20cm height fishbowl.
Below are the steps.
- Fill your chosen bowl or fishbowl with salt up to 3/4 of its capacity. We only use high-quality genuine rock salt.
- Place the 6 Chinese coins on top of the salt; the coins should be placed with the Yang side up (the side with the four Chinese characters).
- Add water to fill the container to the top of the salt. If water evaporates over time, continue to add water.
- Place the container on a protective mat, or on a stand in the home area where you most need it.
- The salt water cure container should be left exposed, so be sure not to cover it or place it in a covered space, such as a kitchen cupboard, for example.
- If salt grows upwards and onto the bowl, and is absorbing the negative energy quite actively and using up a lot of salt then it would be worthwhile to make a new one.
Best Placement
- Place your salt water cure in an area where you know the container will be safe, meaning it will not be tipped over, moved or otherwise tampered with. Usually, a room corner works well. You do not have to keep tampering with it and should ideally be left alone.
- If you do not like the look of the salt water cure (it will change even more in time); be sure to place it behind a decor object so that your feng shui cure is not visible. For example, you can have your salt water cure behind the sofa, a screen or a big lush plant, somewhere hidden but exposed and not in a covered cupboard.
- You should be able to have easy access to your salt water cure in order to add water as and when needed.
Best way to Dispose
- Because the feng shui Salt Remedy will absorb and accumulate a lot of negative energy, care should be taken with its disposal. Do not cleanse the bowl and the coins, but rather properly discard the whole cure.
- In some homes, this remedy needs to be replaced every couple of months, and in other homes just once or twice a year is enough. Keep an eye on your salt water remedy, and it if looks like it have done a lot of work, then replace it with a new one.
- Traditionally, before the changeover Feng Shui energy on the 4th February, is always the time to place a new rock salt remedy or to replace the existing one yearly.
